WELCOME TO THE FIRST EDITION OF DECIDE NEWSLETTER!!!
 
This newsletter is a publication of the DECIDE project. Its goal is to provide information about the project activities and to showcase the project achievements.

DECIDE: DevOps for trusted, portable and interoperable multi-Cloud applications towards the Digital single market. The main objective is to provide a new generation of multi-cloud service-based software framework, enabling techniques and mechanisms to design, develop and dynamically deploy multi-cloud aware applications in an ecosystem of reliable, interoperable, and legal compliant cloud services. 

In order to demonstrate how the DECIDE framework will provide a new generation of multi-cloud service-based software framework, three case studies are being impemented: Deployment and Monitoring by Arsys, E-health by AIMES and Network Management by Innovati. Works are currently ongoing in all case studies.

DECIDE KICK OFF AND GENERAL ASSEMBLIES  DECIDE WAS PRESENT IN CLOSER 2017  DECIDE PARTICIPATED IN NETFUTURES 2017

The project began in December 2016 with the Kick off meeting in Bilbao where all the partners met and the procedures for achieving the project goals was discussed. Project timelines and milestones were discussed and agreed upon.

In March, all partners were reunited in the 2nd General Assembly of DECIDE project in Berlin.

The last July, all the DECIDE partners participated in the 3rd General Assembly of DECIDE action in Krakow, where an office of Cloud Broker is settled.

All the main open technical, business and communication related issues where discussed and (for some of them) final decisions were made.

In April 2017, DECIDE was present in the 7th International Conference on Cloud Computing and service science, celebrated in Porto. Two DECIDE scientific papers were accepted and presented trough a poster and technical presentation:

The paper #36, titled "DECIDE: DevOps for Trusted, Portable and Interoperable Multi-Cloud Applications towards the Digital Single Market" was presented with a dedicated presentation in the session on Monday 24.

The paper #30, titled "Federated Cloud Service Broker (FCSB): An advanced Cloud Service Intermediator for Public Administrations" was presented as a poster during the coffe break on Tuesday 24.

On June 28th DECIDE participated in the event NetFutures, organized by the European Commission. It is a networking event where policy makers and technologists meet to discuss and learn about each other's whishes and needs for tomorrow's internet.

DECIDE participated in the session "New cloud services and software for the Digital Single Market", where was presented in the "one minute madness".

In the afternoon, DECIDE participated in the meetings of the clusters "Software Engineering for Software Applications" and  "Intercloud".

The following day, DECIDE project also participated in the DSM Cloud Stakeholders meeting.
