WELCOME TO THE SECOND EDITION OF DECIDE NEWSLETTER!!!
 
This newsletter is a publication of the DECIDE project. Its goal is to provide information about the project activities and to showcase the project achievements.

The DECIDE project provides a new generation of multi-cloud service-based software framework, enabling techniques and mechanisms to design, develop, and dynamically deploy multi-cloud aware applications in an ecosystem of reliable, interoperable, and legal compliant cloud services.

Three case studies are being impemented: Change Tracking Center by Arsys, E-health by AIMES and Energy Trading Platform IT by Experis IT. Works are currently ongoing in all case studies.

FIRST REVIEW AND GENERAL ASSEMBLIES  CURRENT STATUS OF THE DECIDE PROJECT  DECIDE PARTICIPATED AT ICT 2018

During 2018, 3 General Assemblies and our First Review were held.

The first GA was in Milan hosted by HP in March. In July, the first review was held in Brussels. Madrid was chosen to celebrate the second GA at the Experis IT facilities. The last GA of the year was also held in Spain specifically in Bilbao hosted by Tecnalia.

The first DECIDE project review was held on July 13th, 2018, in Brussels. The DECIDE consortium presented the progress made during this first period. This included a project overview, the general technical vision, and dedicated presentations on the case studies, the DECIDE Multi-cloud native applications DevOps framework, exploitation and dissemination.

The review team considered that the project is progressing and has achieved all the objectives for the period but requested some changes.

As of June 2018, DECIDE project entered the second half of its implementation period (36 months).

The preliminary results, achieved in Month 12 of the project (November 2017), are published and can be found on DECIDE website:

The second version of the tools will be released in November 2018, so stay tuned!

ICT 2018: Image Digital Connect Europe took place in Vienna on 4-6 December 2018. This research and innovation event attracted 4800 visitors and focused on the European Union’s priorities in the digital transformation of society and industry.

A networking session was led by DECIDE. This session was done in collaboration with other cloud-related projects: CloudPerfect, Melodic Cloud, RestAssured, COLA and ACTiCLOUD. We also participated in the Software Engineering Cluster session.
